There have been plenty of trends that have surged this season. From colormaxxing
to balloon pants, we're all having a lot more fun this season after a dreadful winter. And while we're in the thick of it, we've been noticing a theme emerging. Loose silhouettes, gym shorts, swim trunks, sports caps and a tiny bit of tie-dye...is this season all about dressing like we're at summer camp?
Recently it's been feeling like joy is at the forefront of summer dressing, as well as comfort, and isn't that how we all used to dress at summer camp? Long days in gym shorts, swimsuits, button-down shirts and tie-dye tees. Think: The Parent Trap Dirty Dancing Wet Hot American Summer etc, etc.

The runways of late, for resort 2027 and the Spring/Summer 2027 menswear collections specifically, have reflected this sense of loose joy. At Willy Chavaria Spring/Summer 2027 models came down the runway in varsity style printed gym shorts and loose checkered button downs left open; At Auralee Men's Spring/Summer 2027, striped shirts and v-neck pullovers were styled back with jeans and bikini bottoms and accessorized with rolled up towels carried under arms, while at Celine, Michael Rider decided to bring tie dye back with tonal balloon pants and simple cotton shirts with rings of tie dye surrounding waistbands and sleeves.
